Everything is ready for the ninth edition of the Solaris Cup from May 25th to 28th in Porto Rotondo. The event is organized by Solaris Yachts with the support of B&G, Iren and IWC as main partners and in collaboration with the Yacht Club Porto Rotondo and the Marina di Porto Rotondo.

A total of 64 yachts will participate in the 2023 edition. The events programme sees the Solaris Cup races on Friday and Saturday and sailing tests on Thursday and Sunday. A very heterogeneous fleet, which represents the yard's production and maintains the strong sense of family that has long linked owners and shipyard.

The entire Solaris range, from the big 111-foot Cefea to the small and fast 37 footer, will compete among the buoys in the Gulf of Porto Rotondo. The main role will be played by yachts between 50 and 64 feet (to date twenty 50-footers, seven 55-footers, three 58-footers, two 60-footers and five 64RS footer have been entered). The 'oldest' at sea will be the glorious Solaris One Bluette from 1985 while the 'youngest', the 50ft Amica launched in 2023 will be in good company among 19 other yachts of the same size.

"It is a great honour for the shipyard to be back for the ninth time in the waters of Porto Rotondo - says Gianluca Neri, CEO of Solaris Yachts - with such a significant number of participants, which well reflects the target of the yard. We have grown and expanded our range, while maintaining the quality and the team spirit that unite us more and more with our owners and friends. The Solaris Cup represents all of this and we are ready to celebrate the beginning of the Summer season both at sea and ashore with an event that is more and more refined in every detail, just like our yachts."

The racing activities will start on Friday at 12 pm and will take place on coastal courses that will be decided according to weather conditions. On Saturday, the second regatta will be followed by the prize-giving ceremony at 7 pm. The registered boats will race in ORC class.
