The Clipper Round the World Yacht Race has once again joined forces with Harken to power the fleet for the historic tenth anniversary edition of the world famous race.

Following the success of the partnership in the Clipper 2013-14 Race, chairman and founder of the Clipper Race, Sir Robin Knox Johnston said: "I am delighted that Harken will continue to partner with us for the Clipper 2015-16 Race. The standard of winch and deck hardware equipment coupled with the level of service provided to us by Harken during the last race makes them a perfect partner."

"This will be our third consecutive race partnership and will also mark the second outing for the Clipper 70 fleet which Harken worked closely with us on to ensure that winches, blocks and organisers were best placed for efficient performance."

"I firmly believe that our partnership with Harken not only means our crew set out with the best possible equipment for their round the world voyage, but also I am reassured to know that they will receive excellent aftercare if they need it, which is of paramount importance on this challenge of a lifetime."

Andy Ash-Vie, Harken UK Managing Director said: "The Clipper Race is about seeking adventure, getting out of your comfort zone and pushing yourself to the limit, an attitude that's instilled in many sailors and is close to our hearts here at Harken UK.

"Supporting sailors from grassroots through to professional levels is what we're all about and the team are delighted to continue our support for the Clipper 2015-16 Race. Best of luck to all competitors, we are looking forward to following you all the way."

Harken is renowned for its innovative products such as blocks, travellers, furling systems and winches which can be found on the smallest dinghies through to the largest mega-yachts for both cruising and racing; including the America's Cup and Olympics.

A leading manufacturer of quality sailboat hardware and accessories, Harken has an international network of offices in 48 countries, including Australia, France, Italy, New Zealand, Poland, Slovenia, Sweden, the United Kingdom and United States.

The Clipper 2015-16 Round the World Yacht Race starts on Sunday 30 August 2015 from South UK, and will return almost a year later after completing its 40,000 nautical mile circumnavigation.
