The Cretan Union Cup (CuCup) is ready to embark from 23rd till 31st of May 2015 in the magnificent island of Crete, continuing the legacy of 2013! The inaugural regatta took place in the wake of celebration for hundred-year anniversary of reunion with Motherland Greece and all the sailing clubs of the island decided to re-organize the event after its great success in 2013.
Creta Union Cup is a magnificent sailing event, which gives the opportunity to the participants to sail over the Cretan waters that are famous of their beauty and the great sailing conditions throughout the year. Beyond a sailing event, CUCup is a great opportunity to have an insight into Minoan ethos and warm Cretan hospitality and tradition, as the schedule is full of cultural events and festivals.
The fleet will begin the race from the astonishing port of Heraklion and will sail East to the final destination of Agios Nikolaos. The perfect conditions of the Cretan waters in combination with the breathtaking scenery that the island offers and the onshore gastronomy journey guarantee another success story!
