NEW T2 Ratchamatic Blocks

The T2™ Ratchamatic® blocks are Harken's newest to feature the DAME-nominated line's styling a nd soft-attachment system. The new 40 and 57 mm auto-ratchets can be lashed or spliced through the load-bearing centre of the block, decreasing side plate loads and providing a flexibility that accommodates a diverse range of dinghies and sports boat layouts.

NEW 15 STA Radial Winch

The 15 STA winch has the same details you love from our Radial line winches now in a smaller size. The shaped gripping surface does not depend on friction to hold the line, reducing line wear. Maintenance is now exceptionally easy as the top lifts out as a single unit making reassembly quick and error-free.

NEW 5 SHEAVE BLOCK

Carbo Air blocks are 60% stronger and 30% lighter than our Classic blocks. The high-load 57 mm Carbo block has a broad working range. Use for main and jib sheets on centre board and keelboats and for mainsheet systems on catamarans.

British Sailing Team's Nick Thompson catches up with Harken UK

What's it like to be an aspiring Olympic Sailor campaigning to Rio 2016?

We caught up with Nick Thompson to find out!

Harken sponsored Laser sailor Nick Thompson is making quite a name for himself on the competitive circuit, racking up a number of impressive results from Bronze in the 2014 Santander World Championships to gaining podium positions in each of three major events this year, the Laser Worlds, Europeans and Rio test event.

Having recently been voted for the "committed to Excellence" award by his British Sailing Team peers, Nick Thompson's dedication to British Sailing is not going unnoticed as he quickly becomes one to watch in the run up to Rio 2016.

Having sailed from the age of two, this Lymington based sailor has gone on to sail and race in a variety of boats from Optimists through to foiling moths, Melges 32's, Farr 40's, TP52s and of course his Laser.

We caught up with Nick to see what it's like to be in his shoes, to get an idea of the people that are helping make it all happen, how hard he's had to work to get where he is and how he plans to get to Rio in 2016.
