Team Racing Standard Sailing Instructions improved

by Nigel Vick 24 Oct 2014 11:04 BST 24 October 2014

The United Kingdom Team Racing Association have just published a new set of Standard Sailing Instructions.

These sailing instructions and addenda allow organisers to prepare Sailing Instructions for most events using standard and proven wording simply by completing two addenda, A and B.

Competitors will know what to expect and do not need to search for detail in a large document as the main things they need to know are in a table at the beginning of addenda A.

The main change since the previous version of these sailing instructions is the addition of addenda to deal with a range of formats used for team racing, be it two boat, random pairs or normal 3 boat team racing. Several event specific instructions have been moved to Addendum A, avoiding some duplication and improving readability.

They are available here: www.teamracing.org
