Lennon's new Laser® Training is being put through its paces by club sailors around the world. The most recent delivery is on its way to Cyprus while others are being raced at clubs like Whitstable, Welsh Harp and Keyhaven.
Lennon have designed the sail to be more durable than both the standard class legal sail and other training type sails. Cheaper training sails are made from lower quality cloth than the class legal sails. They feel firm and crisp by comparison but this resin covers up a pretty low fibre content weave.
Lennon's heavier cloth gives the durability while also encouraging improved shape holding.
The Lennon Laser® Training sail as well as lasting longer, gives good performance, the equal of the class legal sail despite being made from heavier and firmer cloth.
Duncan Salmon - a current owner - commented, 'I'm very pleased with it... And have had many admiring glances from other sailors'.
