YachtsandYachting.com are delighted to announce the latest version of the 'Sailing News' app presented in association with Henri Lloyd.

The app is designed to make full use of touch screens with horizontally sliding categories, offline viewing and integration of our popular 'favourites' system.

YachtsandYachting.com editor Mark Jardine said on the launch, "More and more people are accessing the site through mobile devices. Our stats show over 30% of our website users are on iOS (iphone and ipad) and 8% on Android. Our aim is to provide the best experience for reading sailing news, whatever the device you are using. Over 8,000 people now have the app installed on their phone or tablet - a figure which is growing every day."

Mark said on the association with Henri Lloyd, "We are delighted to partner with Henri Lloyd on this project. They have always been on the leading edge of clothing technology and their new website is fully mobile optimised so the fit was natural."

Lead YachtsandYachting.com developer Magnus Smith said, "The app lets people read the latest sailing news in trains, in a queue, or whilst waiting for the wind in the boat park. It collects the news when you have a connection, and you can swipe your way through race reports and results later, even where there is no signal."

"We are thrilled to be partnering with YachtsandYachting.com on the sponsorship on their sailing news app, we have always been impressed with their website and hope that sailing fans will enjoy reading news articles via the app where ever they are." said Amy Grealish, Henri Lloyd's PR & Sponsorship Manager.

It's an exciting time for YachtsandYachting.com with continued growth in readership throughout the year, peaking at just under 100,000 unique readers per month* in August, 8% higher than our previous record. The site, originally established in 1996, is the first stop for racing sailors in the UK and increasingly around the world. We will continue our path of investment in top quality editorial and leading-edge technology.
