Over the years P&B's repair team have been in business they have come across some common failures around this time of the year, especially for those that didn't get the chance to do some pre season maintenance on their boat. With this in mind the P&B repair team have got some top tips to keep you and your boat on the water for the rest of summer.

1. Check all fittings and if they move re-site with Sikaflex to keep your hull watertight.
2. Through the winter and spring months dirt, grit and grime may have built up in blocks and cleats causing wear between the ball bearings. Mclube One Drop offers an easy solution to this with its highly lubricating liquid so your blocks can run freely and your cleats snap shut.
3. Old, dirty or worn sheet ropes passing through cleats reduces grip between the teeth and lessens the ability to hold high loads. New rope is never a bad idea as it can often give a boat a new lease of life.
4. Just like rope the strings are vitally important to the performance of your boat. Changing your control lines can often prolong fitting life as well as being a lot nicer to handle.
